Telekom Austria Group and Calista bring mobile mail to perfection

Although a lot of people start and end their day using email, on-board email clients still fail to excite their users: reason enough for Calista Mobile Internet Solutions and Telekom Austria Group to create a new mobile email experience. The mobile network operator A1 Telekom Austria has recently made this exciting experience available to their customers letting them learn to love their email once again.

A1 Mobile Mail is based on the cloud-supported email service “Calista Mobile Mail“ and fits the trend of moving data and functionality to the cloud. Basically, emails and attachments are only downloaded to the mobile phone upon request which enables users to save data costs and ensures fast and efficient service.

Moreover, the intelligent cloud service makes sure that new messages are delivered automatically even if the app is not running which greatly enhances battery life. Users are immediatley notified of new messages in their inbox. The “quiet hours” setting enables users to screen notifications at night or according to their individual needs.

A1 Mobile Mail can access all common email accounts such as GMX, Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail etc. Even MS Exchange accounts and facebook messaging are supported. This means that users do not need a new email account and can continue to work with the email provider of their choice without any interruptions at all.

These and other numerous benefits ensured that Calista’s solution would – in an international search launched by Telekom Austria Group – clearly shine out over other email company tenders.

Ideal for trendy Android smartphones

Android is one of the most popular mobile operating systems. Calista Mobile Mail is also available for Android smartphones. The Android app includes a handy widget that can be placed on the homescreen and informs users of new emails. Users who do not own an Android smartphone can receive emails by using the Java app, or access their accounts via the integrated mobile browser. Going to the expense of purchasing a new smartphone is not necessary because Calista Mobile Mail works on a wide variety of mobile phones in all price ranges.

Calista Mobile Mail offers a clever combination of basic features and as well as a high level of convenience. Apart from classic email features, users are provided with a summary page which displays all recent messages from all accounts as well as the possibility of handpicking important emails that should be collected in a separate inbox.

Users can select recipients from the phone’s address book while composing a new message. Users with a Gmail or facebook account, can also access their Google contacts and facebook friends. For further convenience, as soon as a user has entered the first couple of characters into the input field for recipients, the app provides a selection of matching contacts.
